“This cottage rests in a genuinely lovely setting, making it a fine base for exploring Northumberland's rich heritage and even venturing into Scotland. I found the accommodation thoughtfully equipped, a comfortable and tidy space where everything needed for a quiet retreat for two, and a dog, was readily available. Its rural quietude, coupled with easy access to main routes, strikes a good balance for touring.”
